In 2015 Rene Dube as the former President of NCF, and Alamanda Lauti as the General Secretary established contact with Mr Jamie Kenmure, where they initiated the first steps of the FIDE membership application. This set the ball rolling in the direction of NCF developments to upgrade our standards of Nauru chess to the international arena.
